"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Concerned,

Humble Greetings from my end!

My names are Joseph M. Ezeigwe and I represented as Special Adviser on
Media & Spokesperson for the Former Aviation Minister Mrs. Stella Oduah,
here in Nigeria. I hereby do apologize for contacting you through this
means; it was giving to the urgency as it is.

I contacted you on instructions from her (Ma’am) as she’s mandated me to
seek for a foreign partner to assist us receive the sum of $3.4 million;
which was realized and accumulated from over invoice contracts. These
contracts were executed, commissioned and the contractor's paid their
actual cost for the contracts. You will be entitled to a share of 30% for
successfully receiving the fund on all our behalf. We have exercised
patience over a long period, until presidential announcement last week
that all foreign contractors owed, be paid forthwith, in order to
reconcile Nigeria’s debt ratio & grants from foreign creditors.

Please note also; that the law forbids public servants to own and/or
operate foreign accounts, hence this contact to you. We pray that we can
entrust you with such a task and hope indeed that you will reciprocate
that trust through the course of this transaction. I will provide you
further details upon your prompt response.

If interested and willing to accept this offer, respond immediately with
information’s of your full names, contact address, telephone & fax
numbers. This will enable us seek/secure immediate approvals from the
concerned quarters/agencies and have the payment released to you on all
our behalf.

Thank you,
Joseph M. Ezeigwe.
