"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Hello Dear,

I want to solicit your attention to receive funds on my behalf. I am Lt. Gen. William Mayville, a commander in the U.S army and presently serving in the U.S Military Peace keeping force but now deployed to Afghanistan. We were moved to Afghanistan from Iraq as the last batch to serve in Afghanistan before the final withdraw of the troops from the country. I really need your help in assisting me with the safe keeping of some funds. Please view the article below so that you will understood my message completely.

My team made the discovery of the hidden funds. On that faithfull day, I was able to take one box out of lots telling my team members that I am submitting the box for official analysses which of course I did not after knowing the value contents. The amount is not mention here for security reasons. When you send your acceptance message to me, I will reveal the amount to you.

My friend, if you can help me secure the funds, You will be rewarded handsomely. Just name your percentage and I will grant your request. My assignment here will be completed this December 2015. I am anxious to save this fund so that when I return God willingly, I will have enough for my retirement time. My fear is, CAN I TRUST YOU? If your promise to me is yes, then I will get you inform on how to send the box which will be registered as luggage from your cousin serving here in Afghanistan.

Please Send your reply to: willymay@yandex.com
Yours sincerly.
Lt. Gen. William Mayville
