"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Investment Placement

Hello,
I want to ask for your assistance in helping my boss for an investment
in your country. My name is Dr. Phillips Johnson; I am an
aide/confidant to {MRS DIEZANI ALISON MADUEKE} the current OPEC
President. She is also the former Nigeria Minister of Petroleum
Resources. My request for your partnership is because the current
position my boss is occupying we are legally restricted to open
commercial bank accounts in every states of the world. Also my boss
presently has issues with the current government which prevents us
from holding an account on our names to avoid fund confiscation. Find
below the picture and data of my boss.

NOTE: The fund meant for this investment is intact; I will explain in
full upon your reply. For now, we prefer the investment in your name
as proxy pending when we sort our issues with the government.
First let me know if you are sincere and capable of handling this
matter confidentially and also in the area of entrepreneurship. Cc.
