"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Some comments by the Scam-O-Matic about the following email:

An email address listed inside this email has been used in a known fraud before.
This email uses a separate reply address that is different from the sender address. Spammers use this to get replies even when the original spam sending accounts have been shut down. Also, sometimes the sender addresses are legitimate looking but fake and only the reply address is actually an email account controlled by the scammers.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I got your contact from India business directory and I decided to
contact you. I work with a company known as GINTEX Chemical, dealing
in Medical Chemical and manufacturing of pharmaceutical and laboratory
products and equipment. We are always buying raw materials in India.
This material is a dry seed extract from the Northeast part of India.

It is a regular monthly demand of about 200 (Two hundred) boxes. Each
box contains of 10 (Ten) packets. Unit price of each packet is 3700
British pounds with weight of about 250-300 gram. Each box is about 3
kg max.

I do personally travel to India for this product until am recently
promoted. The new purchasing manager will be available soon to travel
to India for the purchase of this product and I am supposed to present
the contact details to him. I do purchase this product in the amount
of 1360 GBP per packet and supply to my company at the rate of 3700
GBP. It has being a fixed price and we have being making this bill for
years.
I require an honest business partner whom I will present as the direct
dealer to my company. Who will buy from the local dealer and supply to
my company at the same rate of 3700 pounds or higher, In return give
me 30% profit made. The purchase Manager makes payment immediately on
availability of the product.
Mode of delivery of product is usually DAF â€œDelivered At Frontierâ€ It
is safe and risk free with assured profit.
