"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Sir,

We are interested in your products for a contract supply. Before we
proceed I would like to let you know that I am not the direct buyer of
the products rather they are needed for a contract supply to the Niger
Delta Development Commission (NDDC), (www.nddc.gov.ng). I am an
accredited/Sourcing agent to the NDDC on contract allocations and
other services. It will interest me to inform you that there is an
ongoing Tender for supply of several products to NDDC under their 2015
Annual Project. The good news about this contract is that any company
that wins it automatically gains a long lasting business relationship
with the organization if they handle the order very well. If your
company is capable and willing to handle such project, kindly send me
your products catalog/prices list for review so that I submit an
application to the NDDC for evaluation and approval to tender.

Note: If you secure this supply contract through my company's effort,
we will be entitled to 1% commission as gratification to my company.
The 1% commission will emanate by increasing the total invoice value
of the products by 1% in your proforma invoice as to accommodate my
commission. The commission will only be paid to our account after you
must have received your full payment from the NDDC.

PAYMENT TERMS:- Advance payment of 100% via bank to bank telegraphic
transfer before shipment/supply. All payments to be confirmed by your
bank before shipment after the approval of the order in your company's
favour.

SUPPLY DURATION:- The supply duration is negotiable if eventually this
supply is considered in your favour. If these meets your consent, let
me know so that I can check with the NDDC and then tell you the
necessary documents to prepare and how to proceed.

Looking forward to hearing from you and to establish a good business
relationship with your company.

Regards,
John Samuel
