"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: HALLMARK FINANCE HOUSE

Hello Dear,

My name is Mr. Roy Mendi, I work in a bank as an accountant. I
want to know if we can work together.
During the financial auditing in my bank, I discover an account with a
balance of $13.2 Million (Thirteen Million Two Hundred Thousand Dollars)
in an account of one of our foreign customers, who died with his
entire family in
a car accident on their way to Kara, northern region of Togo over ten
years ago.
He was a maintenance/re-search manager with Shell oil Development Company
in Lome, Togo.

I have made several efforts to get in touch with his family but to no
positive result.
I'm contacting you now because you bear the same surname identity and
therefore could be presented as the beneficiary to his estate with my
aid; so that the money will be sent to you as his next of kin.

If you are interested in this transaction of great mutual benefit, let
me know and I will send you more details.

Sincerely
ROY MENDI
