"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Your Urgent Response is Needed !!

Dear Sir/Ma,

I am Mr. Henri Blondel of AHA International Trading SIA in Riga Latvija. I have been involved in international funds placements and the sole administrator of several blind trusts for my numerous clients for over 3 decades.  I am contacting you as regards to a business proposal that will be of mutual and immense benefit to both of us and the less privileged ones in both our societies. I have access to a large sum of money US$25,500,000.00(Twenty Five Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars Only) in an account belonging to one of my clients Late Mr. Christophe de Margerie the chairman and chief executive officer of Total SA France. He was French and died at the age of 63 in a plane crash in Vnukovo airport Moscow Russia on October 20th 2014. You can get more information as regards to the crash and the death of my late client Mr. Christophe de Margerie on the website address below http://rt.com/news/197648-moscow-vnukovo-jet-crash/

The choice of contacting you emanated from the geographical nature of where you live and particularly due to the sensitivity of the transaction and the confidentiality herein. My client Mr. Margerie sent me an email shortly before he boarded his private jet in Moscow, he instructed me to secure this money for his family should something happen to him. We all suspect conspiracy in his death but of course there is no proof. The only thing I can do is at least fulfill his dying wishes. To make sure that the funds does not end up with some top level people in Russia who were his partners in an oil pipe line deal. In view of the above, I seek your consent to present you as his next of kin/ investment manager or even beneficiary to the deceased so that the proceeds of this account valued at US$25,500,000.00 can be paid to you. The only country that can receive this money without been irked by the Russian government is any country that was not part of the old Soviet Union.

This will be disbursed or shared in these percentages, 75% is to be donated to my client’s family trust, 5% to me and 20% to you. I have secured all necessary legal documents to back up this claim. All I need is to upload your names to the documents and legalize it at the Court in order to prove you are the legitimate beneficiary. On your part, all I require now is your honest co-operation; confidentiality and trust to enable us see this transaction through. I guarantee you 100% success and be rest assured this business transaction will be executed under the ambits of law and you will be protected from prosecution.

Please kindly provide me the following as we have 7 working days to complete the transaction:
Your full name, telephone number, email address, current  address, age, occupation.

Having conducted a methodical search, I decided to contact you because you have the same last name as his investment manager. I am hoping that you will find this proposal interesting. Upon your confirmation of this message and indicating your interest I will furnish you with more information.
Please contact me at telephone No: +7 967 146 8577and email.

Best Regards,
Henri Blondel
