"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Sir/Ma,

My name is Ahmed Toro from Libya, former personal assistant to the Late
President Muammar Gaddafi I was arrested by the Rebels and i later escaped
from the detention by the assistant of one of the Rebels soldiers.

I escaped to Nigeria through Cameron because the Niger route was completely
blocked then, later I moved to Niger Repubulic. I was uncomfortable in
Nigeria as i lost the whole money I had on me in Nigeria to criminals. I am
writing you for your help to have the amount of $5M deposited on my name by
the late president for the mobilization of the youths for politics as the
world were calling for democracy in Libya.

I need your help and support to have this fund claimed and I give you $2m
of the fund as you claim it on my behalf $3m for me and for investment in
your country with your advice. Please I will be happy i have your full
name, country, address and cell phone number also i like to know your
occupation. I am presently under house arrest in one of my uncle's house in
Niger Republic and no reason was given to me for the arrest.

Thank you.
Ahmed Toro.
