"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Beneficiary,

My Name is John Solomon I am the honorable director foreign payment of
the United Nations Organization and International Monetary Fund (UNO &
IMF) joint compensation payment office here in the United States of
America. After our recent meeting with the United States white house
officials for debt recovery and settlement and during our last annual
calculation of all your banking and Internet activities, we realized
that your name were among the list of people who are eligible and
qualified to receive the compensation payment.

This compensation payment has been successfully approved by the UNO
and IMF office for poverty alleviation program with human
encouragement and for the benefit of all those who have suffered
various degrees of natural disasters in their respective countries.

Beneficiaries of this compensation payment include victims of earth
quake, Tsunami and flooding, Scam victims, terrorist attacks, fatal
accident victims or persons living with terminal illness Etc.
Subsequent beneficiaries of the compensation payment also include old
aged people and all those who have lost various amount of money in
failed transactions such as contract payment, Lottery winning claims
or Gambling, Inheritance claims and investment payment etc.

Note this is a World Bank funding and support program where your name
were selected through a carefully world wide web gathering of data in
electronics base systems. This guarantees a quick release of your
compensation payment only if you can give a maximum corporation and
attention to this opportunity.

To avoid unnecessary delays whereby some Bank officials may want to
delay your payment with intention to divert your funds to another bank
account, I will now use my position to process your payment and
forward your compensation payment file to the paying bank and prevail
on the Bank for quick release of your compensation funds to your
nominated bank account, but only on condition that you will offer to
give me 10% of your total fund for all my help immediately after
