"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Sir/Madam,

Good day. We got your contact from the Directory of Exporters,
introducing your esteemed company as one of the reliable suppliers in
your country with range of products. We are now approaching you as we
are interested in establishing trade relations with your company.

As this is our first communication, a brief introduction of our
company might be of interest to you. Hixco Trade Ltd. is a Cameroonian
based business consultancy firm, Hixco is born to offer companies with
the desire to expand to Cameroon the necessary support using the best
strategies and tools to achieve success in the short-term. We have a
wide network of contacts among the main players of the Cameroonian
market; Public institutions, multinationals, local companies and
investment groups, informal market, etc.

Our objective is to become a strategic buyer for companies in Cameroon
and import all kind of products from all over the world, (for
example), if a company does not have an import license and they
desired to import particular products from overseas, Hixco Trade Ltd.
is here to assist them.

At this very moment we are in talks with one of our clients who want
to buy your products type for use in carrying out a project and they
instructed us to speak to you and see if your company has the interest
of selling the products to a buyer in Africa, do you sell to buyers in

with you and your firm to supply the demanded products to our client
on a commission basis since our client has said to be interested in

products now. The payment terms are usually 7 days after the sign of
sales agreement by bank wire transfer, 100% in advance before
manufacturing the goods.
