"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

We bring to your notice that your email was reported and we were also informed of all your transactions going on with some unidentified people on the internet claiming to be working for banks and government offices.

We have taken out time in screening through these information and have finally confirmed that your unclaimed payment of USD$1,500,000.00 which was awarded to you legitimately by the United Nations and you have the lawful right to commence with the transfer processes.

We need you to re-confirm the following information to enable us assign an agent that will be in charge of your case file; (I) FULL NAME (II) FULL ADDRESS (III) OCCUPATION (IV) TELEPHONE NUMBER (V) COPY OF IDENTIFICATION, such as driver's licence or copy of your work ID card to enable us commence with the processing of all legal documents that will enable the paying bank to release and transfer the above funds into any provided bank account you shall provide to the paying bank.
