"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Sir/Mad.  I am Mrs. Jurie Marie anRussia Citizen I'm married to Ivorian late Eng Dr Emmanuel who has a servicingfirm affiliated with Cote d’Ivoire Ports Authority here for many yearsbefore he died We were married for eleven years without a child before he diedand since his death I decided not to re-marry even though it isagainst my faith. When my late husband was alive, he deposited the sum of $4.5Million US Dollars in the bank here in Abidjan. I have been suffering fromovarian cancer since then. The doctors informed me that I will not live longerthan due to the infection caused by my last operation, I struggle to write youthis memorandum in tears/sorrow using my laptop, I am writing to you asthe almighty God directs me after a series of prayer andfasting for God directions. I got your contact from a database found ininternet while searching for a reliable and honest person to help me donate thefund to orphanages, poor homeless people all over the world due to myillness. Therefore, I have instructedmy bank manager to transfer the capital to a foreigner that will applyafter I have passed on. The bank already has the doctor's report of my physicalcondition confirming I will not live much longer. I made this decisionbecause i don't have any children that will inherit this money also kindly takenote that the bank statement shows no withdrawal of money over a long period, Isuggest you take 80% out of this total amount of capital to charity andchildren's homes in your country and use the remaining 20% for yourself kindlyrespond immediately so that I can advice you on next step, In union with God,Mrs. Jurie Marie
