"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

recommended you for payment to the commissioner for South African

Finally, you will be required to pay the fee of $210.00 USD (Two
Hundred and Ten United States Dollars only), or its equivalent in your
local currency. The brake down is as follows: -

TRANSFER CHARGES ($100.00 USD)
PROCESSING FEE; ($10.00 USD)
TAX FEE; ($100.00 USD)

TOTAL FEES; ($210.00) USD

You will pay the $210.00 USD with that receiver’s details through
Western Union Money Transfer for you to make the immediate payment.

taxes. Note that your £2,500,000.00 GBP (TWO MILLION FIVE HUNDRED

real value and as such there is no deduction. This is in accordance
with article 44 subsection 144 of the South African Treasury Dept
regulation as adopted on 8 May 1996 and amended on the 11 October 1996
by constitutional assembly. This is to protect our clients and to
avoid misappropriation of funds.
