Environmental Minister-KLAUS TOPFER, announced that some 87 tonnes of
waste would be returning to Germany due to inadequate disposal
facilities.KLAUS TOPFER's announcement came to fruition when a global
NGO- GREENPEACE trucks left the Romanian region of Sibiu for Germany
returning 12 barrels of waste.
Regardless, illegal dumping and poor disposal of waste continued which
prompted Greenpeace to reinforce its "RETURN TO SENDER" message to
companies that have inadequate resources to deal with it.
All of the above are few celebrated incidents as recorded by the
European Chemical News Magazine. yet, the menace continued unchecked.
