"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITY

Hello,

My name is Chirstine Wakefield, I want to transfer my money to you for investment purpose. Due to the nature of my job, I am not readily available to leave the west coast where we are heavily occupied in the laying of oil and gas pipelines now. Meanwhile, the said sum is made from several deals on sale of crude oil within countries in the west coast Africa and monies are domiciled in the comfort of a trusted financial security company.

I decided to invest it because since I am not licensed to sell crude oil, it is not supposed to be found in my possession and also the governments of the west coast

countries might seize, if found.

The only option I have is to place my trust in you.

Let me know if you can do this so I may give you more details.

Christine.
