"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Attn : Dear Partner,

Good day and I am Mrs. Selina Chow Liang Shuk-yee, from Hong Kong, I am married to Dr. Chow Ming-kuen. who worked with China embassy for nine years, before he died in the year 2002. we were both married for eleven years with three children. He died after a brief illness that lasted for only four days. Before his death we were both involved in charity services. Since his death I decided not to re-marry against my principle and the wish of my late husband.

I attended St. Paul's Co-educational College, Rose Bruford College, The University of Hong Kong, Working with Bank of China for almost 20 years now as auditor/ credit room.

A Client of our bank, Erik James. made a fixed deposit of Thirty Million Five hundred thousand United State Dollars. ( $30,500,000.00.USD ) in my branch, a number of notices was sent to him and trust me no response came from him until today. We later found out that Mr. Erik died along with his wife and only daughter had been killed during the war in a bomb blast that hit their home. After much more inquiry it was also discovered that the late Erik. did not declare any next of kin in his official papers including the paper work of his bank deposit. What bothers me most is according to the laws of my country China, at the expiration of 7 years. the funds money will be reverted to the ownership of the Hong Kong China Government if nobody comes for the funds and apply for the payment release approval process , against this scenery, I have all the information needed to claim these funds and I want you to act as the beneficiary of the deposit, there is no risk involved in this matter. as I
hold the key to the fund

All I require is your honest co-operation and I guarantee that this will be executed under a legitimate arrangement that will protect me and you from any breach of the law in my country China or your country.

Please accept my apologies and keep my confidence. I want to be sure that you are ready to execute this transaction with me, what I expect from you is trust and commitment, do not be afraid, because what affects you shall also affects me too. I will appreciate you to follow my directives amicably as a banker I know that if we follow up this transaction diligently it would be completed within 9 working days effect starting from today.

Please provide me with the following details below at once so that I can arrange the necessary paper work in your names and send you copies.

1. Your Full names and Address :
2. Tel and Fax Numbers :
3. Age :
4. Sex :
5. Occupation :

Please, again, note I am a family woman, I have three children and i am a single mother. I send you this mail not without a measure of fear as to the consequences, but I know within me that nothing ventured is nothing gained and that success and riches never comes easy or on a platter of gold.

This is the one truth about life I have learned from my private banking clients. Do not betray my confidence in you my partner. If we can be of one accord, we should act swiftly on this transaction and fund's release payment process in your name.

Please pardon any writing mistakes and i am sorry for my late response and update to you.

Your earliest response to this letter will be appreciated.

My Warmest Regards,

Mrs. Selina Chow.
