"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Attention: Sir/Madam,

My warm and sincere greetings to you, I am Ms. Memuna Kérékou, I am 20years
of age and the secret daughter of late President of Benin Rep,Mathieu Kérékou.
My late father the President Mathieu Kérékou, died on the 14 October 2015
at the age of 82 and he ruled the country Benin Rep for 30years, he was in
office between 26th of October 1972 to 4th April 1991 and also 4th April 1996
to 6th April 2006.

You can read more about my father through the below website:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mathieu_Kérékou

All my life I have been in France and was asked to come back immediately by my
father the president when he fell sick and before the death of my father the
president, while in the hospital bed, he told me that I have the sum of
€7.9Euros which he deposited in a bank here in Benin Rep for me, he also told
me the name of the bank and whom to meet for confirmation of what he has just
revile to me. I went as directed to the said bank and met with the person in
question and was shown all the documents confirming exactly what my father
told me.

The reason why I contacted you is because I need your urgent assistance to
retrieve my fund from the bank here and have it transferred to your country
because it was clearly stated that I will only be allowed to the fund when I
am 24years old but made me feel very sad but I was assured by the director of
the bank that if I can be able to present to them, a matured and reliable
person that the fund will be released and transferred to any bank account the
person will provide.

The late president is not yet buried and the entire families have started
fighting over his properties and my fear is, if they get to know about the
deposited fund in my name, they will surelly take the fund away from me which
will surelly destroy my future as I have no other person to turn to since I
did not grow up here in Benin.

Please I am ready to travel and meet with you once you confirm the fund in
your bank account.

I look forward to hear from you as the pleasure will be mine to hear from you.

Thank you.

Ms. Memuna Kérékou.
