"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Compliment of The season

Hello Friend

Compliment of The season,

I’m sorry to bother your peace with this email addressed to you from my heart. I’m Mator Joko, a Christian refugee from the Yazidi tribe of Iraqi (http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4682725,00.html). Before my life was turned upside down my Father, Keto Joko, was an attaché at the Iraqi embassy in London and life was beautiful, but today, I have lost everything and I need your help. Please before you dismiss this email as rubbish, please read to the end.

My Dad was killed by the murderous and coward ISIS, when they invaded my home town. I had to flee with my mum and a few belonging and documents that my Dad handed over to me, unfortunately before the outside world could help us the home of my uncle we sheltered was attacked and my mum killed by Isis fighters. Me and few other made it out and I thank God today I have made it to Greece after using the little money my mum left me to pay for a place on a boat.

My reason for writing to you is not to bore you with my sad story, but for you to help me claim my Dad's deposit. He told me that he had a deposit of GB£1,500,00.00 ( One Million, Five Hundred thousand British Pounds sterling ) in a deposit company in London. I also have all documents and the contact address of the bank and accountants to claim this money.

I would have wished to travel to UK as a refugee and claim this money, but the hostility and the treacherous journey to U.K through the migrant route is too dangerous for me to try ,hence I have decided to stay in Greece and seek your help to claim this fund and use it start a new life. Please all I need from you is to help me contact the financial broker and Bank; give them the documents I have so the money can be paid to you. Once you have claimed the money, I will inform you what you should do for me with the money so I can leave here and start a better life somewhere else. I’ve decided that I will give you 20% of this total sum for helping me.

Kindly reply me on this email(matorjoko12@hotmail.com) so I can send you more information.

Yours truly,
Mator Joko
