"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: HAVE YOU RECEIVED YOUR FUND FROM S.A RESERVE BANK?

Date: 26th November, 2015.

FROM MR. COLLINS MURRAY.
HEAD OF FINANCIAL SERVICE AUTHORITY INVESTIGATION AND SETTLEMENT TEAM, UK.

RE: File Number: FSAIST/L-UK/US/0024/13.

Have you received your fund from S.A Reserve bank? S.A Reserve bank is
threatening to turn your fund over to the office of their National
Treasury if your fund still remains in the bank up till 31st December,
2015.

Therefore, if you have not received your fund from the bank, it means you
have almost a month left to do so.

Let me know if you have not received your fund from the bank, so that I
will re-send the contact details of the deputy governor of the bank to you
to enable you contact him for immediate transfer of your fund to you.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards,

Mr. Collins Murray.
HEAD OF FINANCIAL SERVICE AUTHORITY INVESTIGATION AND SETTLEMENT TEAM, UK.
