"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear beloved one,

I bring you seasonal greetings, my name is Darlene Kanisoro, I am 18 years old from Ivory Coast. This letter may have come to you as a surprise, but I want to use this medium to ask for your assistance and corporation for an intended investment in your country.

I have a substantial amount of money inherited by me from my late father, Kanisoro Yabate Siriq, who died during the political crisis with other members of my family murdered. I'm a potential target by the current regime, who seek to eliminate me, which has made me gone into hiding in an undisclosed location with the help of a catholic reverend.

Included with this money are gold bars, concealed and deposited in a security and finance firm here in my country. I have legitimate documents the deposits and will make them available to you for verification. Before I send further information to you and my identity, I want to be sure that you are able to assist me in moving the fund to your country for investment, and that you are also able to help me travel to your country after the transfer of the fund, to continue my education.

Please reply to me as soon as possible and indicate interest your readiness to help me, so I can send you more information, and please disregard this email if you are not interested to assist me. Thanks and have a happy day.
