"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: From Mrs.Yambe Dijiriga

Hello,

My first mail to you last week was concerning this estate which am still waiting your reply to proceed with you.I want to invest part of our inheritance in your care. I am Mrs Yambe Dijiriga, I am married to Late Mr. Edward Dijiriga, he was an Exporter in the trade of coffee and cocoa in the economic capital of Cote d’Ivoire called Abidjan. We are married for twenty years with only a child before he died last year. He died after a brief illness that lasted for only four days. Before his death, we were both born-again Christian. Since his death, I decided not to remarry again,I am sick now but I do not want my son to know about it yet. When my late husband was alive he deposited the sum of $5.5 Million (Five million five hundred thousand USA. Dollars) in one of the best bank here in Abidjan Cote d’Ivoire and named my son as the next of kin to the deposit. Now that he is dead, I have decided with my son to invest the money outside this country for safety reasons and for my son to study out side the country.

I need your assistance, to help me to get admission for my son with a good school in your country for my son to continue his edication there and you receive our inheritance into your account before the arrival of my son and we agreed to give you 20% percent of the total inheritance and I want you to act as I listed below.

(1) To serve as a guardian to my son and invest part of this funds in a good business while my son is in school.
(2) To make arrangement for my son to come over to your country immediately our inheritance is transferred to your account since I do not have or know any body in your country, for my son to further his Education and to secure a resident permit in your country.

Please kindly contact me as soon as you read this mail with your full names, address, age and contacts numbers for me to submit them to the bank to proceed as our beneficiary who will receive the inheritance.

I will be waiting to hear from you
Yours in Christ
