"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Some comments by the Scam-O-Matic about the following email:

This email uses a separate reply address that is different from the sender address. Spammers use this to get replies even when the original spam sending accounts have been shut down. Also, sometimes the sender addresses are legitimate looking but fake and only the reply address is actually an email account controlled by the scammers.
The following phrases in this message should put you on alert:
- "a security company " (this will cost you money - be careful with upfront payments to anyone you only know through email, especially if they promise you a lot of money. NEVER send money by Western Union or MoneyGram to people you do not know personally - NO EXCEPTIONS! Instant wire transfer services are not meant to be used with strangers because they offer no protection against fraud. That is precisely why the criminals want you send money that way. )
- "huge sum of money" (they want you to be blinded by the prospect of quick money, but the only money that ever changes hands in 419 scams is from you to the criminals)
- "is 100% risk free" (almost true for the criminal trying to scam you - arrests of online criminals are rare)
- "a diplomat " ("diplomats" who perform deliveries of cash or other valuables to you only exist in 419 scams)

My name is Joshua Awishe a personal assistant to the em-battling Ex-Petroleum Minister of Federal Republic of Nigeria ( Dr. Diezani Alison-Madueke ) she served as the Petroleum Minister under the last dispensation of Former President Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan who was defeated in his bid for re-election in the 28 March 2015 poll by the opposition party.

My boss the former petroleum minister and i were able to arrange a large amount of money in a metallic boxes and have them moved out of Nigeria by a diplomat serving an African country. These boxes were registered as personal effects with a security company in Europe.

Though the content of the metallic boxes was not disclosed to the African diplomat that moved the boxes to the security company in Europe as he was paid his full charges by my boss. I can authoritatively inform you that both the African diplomat and the security company does not know the real content of the boxes because they were registered as personal effects as i have said earlier.

I contacted you based on the fact that i want a trustworthy person to take possession of the boxes from the security company in Europe and help with the investment of the cash in his or her country. Already the new government is monitoring my movement round the clock so it is unwise for me to be too visible for now while my principal is been investigated by various departments and agencies of the government.

Note: That the arrangement, movement and the registration of the fund in the metallic box is not traceable as it was properly arranged under the classified secrecy act, so this is 100% risk free.
