"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Hello,

I am sorry to intrude your privacy, as we have never met before and you did not solicit this email from me, i sincerely apologize.
My name is David Gale and i work with the National Lottery commission here in the US. We regulate the Powerball and several top lottery agencies.
I have a business deal you and i can handle. As you may be aware, every year there are lots of Lottery sweepstakes that are unclaimed, this amount into billions of dollars annually. If this money are not claimed within a stipulated time, they are forfeited and used for other purposes, and as it turns out, we know it's still not used completely for the purpose that the public is made to believe.
Myself and a colleague working in the lottery admin and claims department have decided to look for someone who is not in any way related to us to put in a claim as one of the winners of the lottery,(it does not matter if you ever played the lottery, we will simply generate a ticket and pass it to you to finalize your claims from the lottery claims department and have the money paid out to you with immediate effect.
You will file for claim of between 1million to 5millions usd ONLY. Myself and team working behind will make the claims/payment be certified OK and payment made to you. We will advise you on what to do after the first stage of your claims.
If you are interested. Kindly send a private email to me so we can furnish you more information and discuss the percentage. Kindly note that this is a confidential email and if you are not interested. I will thank you for taking time to read my mail.
