"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: I AM WAITING FORWARD TO HEAR FROM ASAP.

Attention Sir/ Madam,

After series of talks and understanding with some offices, regarding your unclaimed funds.

I write to inform you that we have moved the sum of Ten Million United States Dollars ($10,000,000.00), to Barclays Bank London, for them to pay you. The above mentioned amount, represents part of your funds, as we cannot move the entire Amount, for sensitive reasons. Thus Barclays Bank London, is to contact you immediately for you to claim your money.

The reason for this latest development is because the Federal Government of Nigeria, has directed that all unclaimed sums will be moved to the Federal Government Treasury Single Account (TSA), by the end of this First Financial Quarter of this year 2016. Thus the Financial Quarter will come to an end very soon.

You are therefore required to expect correspondence from Barclays Bank London, and as you hear from them, do follow up with their instructions, as to claim your money swiftly.

Note that upon the actualization of your claims of the money, you will settle me and other the people who assisted in one way or the other to make sure that part of your money was moved out to stop your total sum from being moved to the Treasury Single Account (TSA) of the Federal Government.

Acknowledge your receipt of this mail and await an immediate correspondence from Barclays Bank London, as they must commence dealings with you without delay, as to meet up with for your money to get to you before the end of this financial quarter..

Do field me with your dealings with Barclays Bank London.

I am expecting your immediate response.

Yours faithfully,

Mrs Rosaline Sally
