"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

My name is Dr. Kim Lee I work with Acleda Bank of Cambodia as Accounts Manager ,I am seeking for your consent to stand as a next of kin to my late customer who worked with an oil company here in Cambodia On the 10th of August 2010.my customer and his wife and their only daughter were involved in a car crash and lost their lives. please contact me for more details in respect to the claim of his fund valued ($7.2Million)left behind before it get confiscated by the Finance Firm. I will provide you with all the necessary information.documents and proof to legally back up for the claim. I intend to offer you 60% of the total funds for your assistance. if you accept this offer. urgently get back to me with your FULL NAME. PHONE NUMBER.AGE AND CONTACT ADDRESS.
