"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.

Subject: Re:Urgent partnership request..ax

My Dear Friend,
My name is Dr. Adesuwa Abati, a cousin to Mr. Reuben Abati, the Senior Special Adviser (Media and Publicity) to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan GCFR, of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. I pray this letter meets you in good health. I was directed to contact you by Dr. Abati confidentially through this letter. As you may know ex-President Goodluck Jonathan lost the last year election concluded on March 28, 2015 presidential election to President Muhammadu Buhari. Since the loss of the election to the opposition APC candidate President Muhammadu Buhari and the inauguration of his regime, there has been persistent persecution and witch hunting of the ex-president and his former ministers by the current administration of President Buhari to the extent that individuals are thrown into detention without proper investigation. There is also an ongoing probe of all sectors of the economy including the controversial missing $20billionUSD Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) fraud, which the former Minister of Finance Dr Mrs. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke both of whom are currently in house arrest had failed to provide adequate answer to put a stop to this probe.
As a result of this development, Mr. Abati had instructed me to seek your partnership in a confidential assets exchange, which ex-President Jonathan mandated him to transfer out of Nigeria prior to this time. The possibility exist that the current administration of President Muhammadu Buhari might probe him since his ministers are already under intense scrutiny .Should that happen, then part of the said funds will be used to offset attorney fees and other expenses, which may occur during such prosecution, while the rest amount will be invested into lucrative businesses in your country as our partner .From the ongoing persecution and witch hunting of former ministers ,it is certain that sooner than later the searchlight would be beam on ex-President Goodluck Jonathan. Hence, Our goal is to be prepared. Consequently the total sum of $350million USD cash has been deposited with a security firm here in Accra Ghana under a special arrangement by me as the depositor. I therefore seek your sincere and urgent partnership and cooperation to move the funds out of the security firm as soon as possible, to foreclose the seizure of any funds associated with us. In furtherance to this, you will be rewarded with 30% of the $350milion, while 5% will be set aside to cover all administrative expenses that might accrue from the transaction.
If you are interested to partner with us and you find this proposal suitable to you, kindly reply for full details .I will appreciate it very much, if this proposal is acceptable by you and will equally implore you not to take undue advantage of the trust I have bestowed on you. Conclusively, to fast track this transaction I will advise you provide me with your mobile telephone number so that we can discuss more confidential issue and move into action immediately. You can easily reach me through email correspondences via my secure private mobile No. +233269893229 or email address: adesua.abati2015@yandex.com. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Dr. Adesuwa Abati
