"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: From Sambo Dasuki, Pls reply

Dear friend,

I know my letter may come to you as a surprise because we have no
relationship either in the past or in the recent. Let me
introduce myself to you. My name is Sambo Dasuki, a retired
Nigerian Army Colonel and former National Security Adviser (NSA)
to the then President of Nigeria (Goodluck Ebele Jonathan). I was
born on December 2, 1954 in Wusasa, Zaria, Kaduna State in
Nigeria to Alhaji Ibrahim Dasuki, the 18th Sultan of Sokoto. I am
the first son of the deposed sultan. I attended Kaduna Capital
School for elementary education and later Government College,
Kaduna, for my secondary education. I entered the Nigerian
Defence Academy in 1972 and was coursemate with officers such as
Colonel Kayode Are, General Owoye Andrew Azazi, and Admiral
Ganiyu Adekeye. I received my commission from the Nigerian
Defence Academy in 1974 and was posted to an Army Headquarters
platoon.

I became a major and military assistant to General Mohammed Inuwa
Wushishi, participated in the 1983 Nigerian coup d'état that
installed Major General Muhammadu Buhari(now the president) as
Nigeria's Head of State then. Later, I was among four majors
(Abubakar Dangiwa Umar, Lawan Gwadabe, and Abdulmumini Aminu) who
arrested the then Nigerian head of state Muhammadu Buhari in the
1985 palace coup led by Major General Ibrahim Babangida.
Following the coup, I was made Aide-de-camp (ADC) to General
Ibrahim Babangida.

My career: I was a former managing director of Nigerian Security
Printing and Minting Company Limited (NSPMC). I resigned in
protest from the NSPMC following its controversial privatisation
by former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

National Security Adviser: In early 2015, while serving as
national security advisor, I informed the Independent National
Electoral Commission "that operations against Boko Haram
militants meant the military "will be unable to provide adequate
security" for the upcoming 2015 Nigerian general election. The
elections, scheduled for 15 February in 2015, were postponed
until March 28. Also in April same 2015, I insisted that the
Nigerian military would ensure that Sambisa Forest, the last
fortress of Boko Haram, would be liberated before the May 29
inauguration of President Buhari's new government, which we did
but the then oposition party (APC) in their quest to take over
power by all means, used propanganda to sabbotage all our
efforts.

Coincidentally, on the one year anniversary of the abduction of
Chibok school girls, I insisted that government was concerned
about the welfare of every single Nigerian not only the Chibok
girls, as terrorists abducted other innocent Nigerian girls,
boys, men, and women that the security agencies were making all
efforts to rescue them. The military rescued more than 300
abductees a few weeks afterwards.

Alleged fraudulent activities: On December 1, 2015, I was
arrested by Nigeria's State Security Service (SSS) accusing me of
stealing TwO Billion US Dollars ($2bn) and awarding phantom
contracts to buy 12 helicopters, four fighter jets, and
ammunition meant for the Nigeria's military campaign against Boko
Haram Islamist militants. All these allegations are mere proganda
and witch hunting which president Muhammadu Buari and his party
(APC) are bent on WITCH HUNTING those who did not support his
election. I am being witch hunted because right from the Army, I
had always tried my best to stop President Buhari from leashing
his evil plans to Nigerians and during the election, I did not
support him because I know he has nothing good to offer Nigerians
except to accomplish his personal ambitions. I and my family have
been placed under surveilance while I have charged the Federal
government and SSS to court for assault and deformation of
character.

Finally, my aim of writing this letter to you is for you to
assist me in receiving and investing some funds which i saved
while in service. The amount is in US Dollars (US$18M) well
saved..will not disclose for security reasons until you indicate
your interest to assist me with all honesty. You will be rewarded
immensely if you help me to reposition the funds and invest in
your country. We can discuss what would be your reward and every
other things to discuss once you are ready to assist.

Please for security reasons, contact me or send your reply via
this email: sambodasuki98@gmail.com

Thanking you in earnest for your understanding and kind support.

Yours faithfully,

Alhaji Sambo Dasuki
