"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Hello dear, I decided to write you this proposal in good faith, believing =
that you will not betray me. I am Mr. Asif Hafiz., a Bank officer here in M=
alaysia. One Mr. Abraham Smith, a citizen of your country had a fixed depos=
it with my bank in January 2010 for 96 calendar months, valued at US$34,600=
,000.00 (Thirty Four Million, Six Hundred Thousand US Dollars) the due date=
for this deposit contract was the 16th of January 2013. Sadly, Mr. Abraham=
(Late) was among the death victims on April 14, 2010 Earthquake disaster i=
n Yushu, China that killed over 2,000 people. He was in China on a business=
trip and that was how he met his end. My bank management is yet to know ab=
out his death, I knew about it because he was my friend and I am his accoun=
t officer. Abraham did not mention any Next of Kin/ Heir when the account w=
as opened, and he was not married and no children. Last week my Bank Manage=
ment requested that Abraham should give instructions on what to do about hi=
s funds, if to renew the contract or not.I knew this will happen since the =
acquisition of my bank (EON Bank) by HONG LEONG BANK GROUP in, 2011. AS YOU=
CAN READ ON: https://www.hlb.com.my/news/2011/n010711.jsp?flag=3D072011. S=
ince then, I have been looking for a means to handle the situation and now,=
because of the threatening notice from the bank, if my Bank Directors happ=
ens to know that Abraham is dead and do not have any Heir, they will not he=
sitate to divert the funds to their personal selfish uses, I don't want suc=
h to happen. That is why I am now seeking your co-operation to present you =
as Next of Kin/ Heir to the account and my bank head quarters will release =
the account to you with all the needful information about the account that =
one is expected to come up with before the bank release. There is no risk i=
nvolved; the transaction will be executed under a legitimate arrangement th=
at will protect you from any breach of law according to my laid down modali=
ties. It is better that we claim the money, than allowing the Bank Director=
s to take it, they are rich already. I am not a greedy person, so I am sugg=
esting we share the funds equal, 50/50% to both parties, my share will assi=
st me to touch many dying lives and also start my own company which has bee=
n my dream. Please reply through my personal mail as you let me know your m=
ind on this, I have more to write you on the followup details in my reply a=
s soon as I read from you. Please let this Secret remain between the both o=
f us only. Have a nice day and God bless. Asif asifhafiz571@yahoo.com There=
is no risk involved
