"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: HELLO FRIEND

Dear Friend,

How are you and your family, well, this is Mrs. Jessica Angus ,69yrs
old from Sunnyvale, California, but live in Seattle Washington, I am
suffering from cancerous ailment. I and my late husband were into
private practice all our life before he died. Our life together as
husband and wife for decades was without child. My husband died after
a protracted illness. My husband and I made a vow to uplift the
down-trodden and the less-privileged individuals as he had passion for
persons who cannot help themselves due to physical disability or
financial predicament. My late husband and myself deposited the sum of
US$5.5M which were derived from our vast estates and crude oil/gold
investment in a vault which I am giving out to you, to donate this
fund to you and want you to use this gift which comes from my effort
to fund the upkeep of widows, widowers, orphans, destitute, the
down-trodden, physically challenged children, barren-women and persons
who prove to be genuinely handicapped financially.

I took this decision because I do not have any child that will inherit
this money and I do not want this money to be misused hence the reason
for taking this bold decision. My happiness is that I lived a life
worthy of emulation. Please assure me that you will act just as I have
stated herein and you will have 28% of the funds for your work, while
you distribute the rest for charity. Hope to hear from you soon.
Respond via my private email address: jessicaangus48@yahoo.com

Regards,
Mrs. Jessica Angus
