"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Your Abandoned Package For Delivery

Director Airport Inspection Officer
Murtala Mohammed International Airport
574 Ikeja Airport Lagos, Nigeria.

Good day,

Please confirm if this is a valid email contact address as the address is identical with what we have in the Two Metal Trunk Consignment Boxes here in Murtala Mohammed International Airport.
I have a very vital information to give to you, but first I must confirm that am communicating with the right person before I reveal it to you because it may cause me my job,This recent development is not yet out in the open so i need to make sure you can be trusted for me to be able to reveal this secret to you.
I am Mr. Peterson Bobby, head of luggage/baggage storage facilities (Operations, Maintenance, Transportation) here at the Murtala Mohammed Ikeja Airport Lagos Nigeria. During my recent withheld package routine check at the Airport Storage Vault,I discovered an abandoned shipment from a Uniited Kingdom Diplomat,This was as a result of the old Govermental policy in section 14.06.19 subsection 22b applied to all foreigners investing here in Nigeria,I secretely scan the consignment and it revealed an undisclosed sum of money in a Metal Trunk Box weighing approximately 110kg. The consignment was abandoned because the Contents of the consignment was not properly declared by the consignee as "MONEY" rather it was declared as "personal" effect to avoid interrogation and also the inability of the diplomat to pay for the Non Inspection Charges which is $3,700USD and the notarization fee for the documents attached to the consignment box. On my assumption the consignment is still left in our Storage House here at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport Lagos Nigeria till date, but now that there is a change in the government sector and a new president has recently been elected which is bringing a new development and growth in the economy of Nigeria, all withheld package under my custody are soon to be taking to the Nigerian Treasury Department as Unclaimed delivery due to delays in concluding the clearance processes,so as a result of this, I will not be able to receive your details on my official email account.I will advise you send the required details to my private email address for quick processing and response.

Full name:
Phone Number:
Full Address:
Name Of Nearest Airport:

Once I confirm this details showing that you are still alive,i will commence the delivery process of the trunk box only on one condition which i will explain below,
However, be informed that the reason I have taken it upon myself to contact you personally about this abandoned consignment which you already think is a lost funds is because I want us to transact this business and share the funds 70% for you and 30% for me instead of returning it to the Nigerian Government Treasury Department.
Lastly,if you agree with my terms to the percentage above,I will go ahead and pay for the Non Inspection Fee of $3,700 dollars knowing the huge amount of funds in the trunk box and also to aviod any further delay as we dont have much time left,The notarization fee cost just $420 which will be paid personally by you as the owner with evidence showing that the said payment will be coming in your name to match with the documented name that will be in the Trunk Box as mandated by the Nigerian notary office.

I wait to hear from you urgently if you are still alive and
I will appreciate if we can keep this deal confidential.
Please get back to me via my private
