"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Good day Sir..

Good day.
Please we want you to assist us.
My name is Mrs. Angela Gude. I am a widow who had three children, but my husband and two other children were killed during the political turmoil in my country, the rebels attacked our house, and killed my husband and two other children, and burnt our house and everything in it, it was a bit tragedy for me.
Luckily for me, my late husband deposited some fund (foreign currency) U.S$12.6 million (Twelve million, six hundred thousand dollars) at a firm in Europe, for safe keeping.
My husband was a Gold and diamond merchant, till he died.
I am asking for your support in investing this fund in your company or in your country that was my late husband desire before he died.
I and my only son now have agreed to offer you 30% of the total sum before we invest.
I am sick and suffering from stomach cancer, I am writing you from the hospital now.
I need this transaction to be completed fast, so i can come over to your country for my treatment.
I will direct you, on how to contact the firm for the release of the fund.
Please protect the interest of this message.
Thanks and sincerely yours.
Mrs. Angela Gude.
