"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: I REQUESTED AMICABLY

Hello Dear,

I came across your profile and I picked interest. I want to
make you a beneficiary of money transfer through my bank. It’s deal for
percentage.

I am Mr. Patrick Mensah, Head of Investments & Deputy
Treasurer, Ghana Commercial Bank Ltd, Accra, Ghana. I handle all our Investor's
Direct Capital Funds and secretly extract 1.2% Excess Maximum Return Capital
Profit (EMRCP) per annum on each of the Investor's Capital Funds. As an expert,
I have made $15.7 Million (USD) over time from Investor's EMRCP and hereby
looking for someone to trust who will stand as an Investor to receive the funds
as Tenure Investment Proceeds.

Some bank manager has acquired homes and investments abroad
through their foreign Partner by the same source, proposed sharing pattern /
60:40, i.e. 60% for me and 40% for you. I will retire from employment to self
employment this year and I am planning to relocate to your country for
investment.

Please note that this matter is strictly confidential.

Sincerely yours.
