"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: I am writing you this email to seek your assistance.

Hello, I am writing you this email to seek your assistance. I am an Egyptian and a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, a political party in Egypt until the party was disbanded by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. I have served in various capacities within the political party and have held various executive positions. After the removal of former President Mohamed Morsi by the military, Army General Abdel Fattah el-Sisi disbanded our party and declared all members of the party wanted. Several key members of the Muslim Brotherhood and supporters of former President Mohamed Morsi were killed and 529 of our members were sentenced to death. Due to this event, I managed to escape from the secret killing-machine of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to a remote village near the border where am hiding presently for safety of my life and that of my family. Meanwhile, while I was serving as a Treasurer, my party made large sum of $28 Million deposit, meant for campaign for next election in Egypt before we were disbanded. Now it is close to 3 years and there is no possibility of our party returning to Egypt politics. So I decided that I should invest the funds. I am writing to you to seek your assistance in receiving the funds and invest it in your country. I cannot invest the funds in Egypt. Therefore, I want to move the funds out of United Arab Emirates and invest outside Egypt. So I need someone who can place the funds in profitable and viable investment. As such, I will appoint you my investment manager to the investment on an agreed management fee on annually basis. Please if you are interested, kindly email me your response. I will be grateful to open up a positive contact with you in order that I explore the opportunity in your country, Look forward to your reply. Best regards, Ahmed Youssef Habib
