"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Please read and get back to me, My Names is Mr. Benjamin Kwakume, I am the principal foreign account operator manager with our bank. I am reaching you base on one of our late client a national of your country, who used to work with an oil servicing company in Ivory Coast Republic, our late client made a numbered time (fixed) deposit with our bank valued at $12,700,000.00 (Twelve Million Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars) this funds is still sitting in our bank and the interest is rolled over with the principal sum at the end of each year, according to the law of Ivory Coast, at the expiration of 5 {five} years, if nobody come for claims, the deceased account will be confiscated and the money will be revert to the ownership of the Ivory Coast government, Upon maturity, I have sent a routine notification to his forwarding address but got no respond. I have been sending reminder to his forwarding address every three months still today I did get any respond.

I decided to search for the deceased family, In my searching I discovered from one of his business partner at PETRO-CI Corporation Company that our client was assassinated together with his family during the political crisis in Ivory Coast, since his death nobody have come for claims, I also decided to treat his surname through your country embassy to locate any of his relative family, in my searching to locate the deceased relative family, I discover that you bear the same surnames with the deceased person, I therefore request for your attention and interest towards this issue, which I will like you to stand as the Next of KIN and present you to our bank as the deceased relative family, so that this money will not be reverted by the government, If accepted to work out this project with me successful.
