"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Hello,
I am Larry  Morgan, working  with USA embassy in  Nigeria. I have been mandated by the International Monitoring fund and USA ambassador to ensure that your Draft fund transfer is  completed before the end second quarter of this year.
Approval has been given for compensation in your favor, the sum of USD300.000.00. We sincerely apologize for the delay this might have caused you.
After verification, your draft will be released to you, You are also required to pay $120 for logistics and delivery of your draft. As soon as the fee is paid, then your bank draft will dispatched to your address within 12 hours.
Finally, you are advised to confirm your contact address and telephone number to avoid wrong delivery.Upon receipt and  confirmation of delivery charge,you will be sent a track number to enable you monitor delivery online  to your designated address.
