"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear fund beneficiary:

My name is Mr. JAMES WILLIAM; I am the formal ambassador from the United States of America to the Benin republic.
I had worked and lived in Benin from 2011-2014 respectively before going back to my country; I am also a very good friend of the past president of Benin republic, president Yayi Boni and equally have a good relationship with the present government of Mr. Patrice talon.
I now work at the united states foreign affairs, last week I received a consolidating letter from the president of Benin republic with the list of names of American citizens and other countries that all have unclaimed fund in Benin republic.
I found your name and email address in the list and the amount you are supposed to receive is the sum of Ten million and five hundred thousand united state dollars ($10.5m), which was an inheritance fund, which has been fully loaded into the united bank for Africa (UBA) Atm visa card.
I had made a clear enquiry on the so called fund and had confirmed it to be legitimate, so I assured the president that I would get a hold of you and let you know about your winnings.
Please I would appreciate you to kindly reply me back with your information, so I would reconfirm with the ones I have on papers here to be sure you are the right person, I would appreciate you to give me the information with this format bellow
