"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Re: RE: Mrs. Joy Martinez

Calvary Greetings,

I am Mrs. Joy Martinez, I was married to late Engr. Fernandez Martinez who worked with Shell Development Company in Kuwait for 26 years before he died in the year 2010 after a brief illness that lasted for only five days, I am presently deaf due to an accident as I was unable to focus and concentrate while driving in the year 2012.

After he passed away, I was filled with grief, sadness and loneliness before I discovered my ill health (Leukemia- Cancer of the blood), the doctor revealed that I may not live long as expected as I discovered when it was too late. I found Christ at this point, this was when I made up my mind to use the rest of my life for Charitable works with the funds in which my husband deposited in a bank here.

Myself and my Husband lived happily until we lost our only son in a fatal accident which led us to sell most and all of our properties which amounted to the sum of $19.5M, since the doctors already told me I don't have much time left I decided to search for trust worthy people with love for kids, fear of God and highly religious and this is how I found a brief profile about you and then here is my heart being poured out to you.

I don't want you to be under pressure but be rest assured that the Lord works in ways in which we may not understand as I have found my cause, I want you to take a step of Faith and consider helping me carry out the work of God. Kindly reply me and tell me some idea's in which you think you can use this money for Charitable works and making impacts on other lives.

I hope to hear from you soonest. God Bless.

Mrs. Joy Martinez.
