"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Re: I need your urgent help

Greetings my dear,

I don't know how my generosity offer may sound to you, especially as it comes from a stranger, as it's the only change I have to give my wealth away for charity work due to my health situation. I am Mrs. Helen Jones, an aging widow suffering from long time illness Cancer, i am currently admitted in a private hospital here and I have some funds I inherited from my late loving husband the sum of ($8,000.000 Dollars) which is deposited in one of the famous bank here and i want to donate this funds to charity organization in your Country to the glory of God.

Use 80% percent of these funds to help the poor, less privilege once, the widows in the society and 20% percent out of the total funds will be for your personal use to support your good family just for your compensation to assist in doing this good work of God.

If you would be able to use these funds for the humanitarian work like I have instructed therein, kindly reply me immediately. Remain Blessed,

Yours sincerely,

Mrs. Helen Jones
