"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Greetings my dear

Greetings my dear,

I know this may come as a surprise, Please kindly pay attention to
this message; although we have never met before but someone must be
choose, this is no spam, It's by his grace to come across you to send
this message. I know also that you will be amazed at the level of
trust that I am willing to place in a person that I have never seen
nor spoken with.

My name is Rev. Fr. Andrew Bob; I have been a catholic priest for over
25 years. I had my first surgery on the March, 2014 and the Doctors
report defined that I cannot live longer; I had a serious bleeding
after I had an operation early December which I cannot survived
because the severe was too much on me. I have decided to give you all
the money which was deposited in my bank account by a dying elderly
woman in my congregation the total sum of $11,970,000.00 (Eleven
million Nine Hundred and seventy Thousand US DOLLARS).

I want you to use this funds to build a charitable home for less
privileges in your country, help the needy and also help your family
members. I took this decision because I was raised in an Orphanage so
I don't have any relatives. Presently, I'm been hospitalized in
Cabinet Medical le Sacre Coeur, Benin Republic, where I am placed into
treatment but this situation have no improvement, That's why I decided
to contact you to use part of the money to build charitable
organization on my name in your great country. Respond to my
alternation Email: rev.andrewbob@gmail.com, to give you directive on
how to receive the money from the bank.

Remain bless,

Rev. Fr. Andrew Bob
