"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Assalam Alaikum..My Beloved

Assalam Alaikum..My Beloved

I am Mrs. Edina Mangubat From Philippines in Asia, but now in hospital.  I and my husband were into Oil and Gas business before my husband’s death on June 15 2011.  We were married for 16 years without a child due to my fibroid problem and ever since my husband's death I have been diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer, that I hardly move around.

Recently, my Doctor told me that I would not last for next 2 months because the cancer has gotten to a very bad stage.  When my husband was alive he made a deposit of $7.500.000.00 USD.  Knowing my condition I have decided to donate this money out for charity purposes.  Beloved one, I want to transfer this money to you, I want you to use at least 85% of this money to visit the orphanage homes, help the poor, sick ones in the hospital and women with cancer then take the remaining amount to take care of your home because every worker deserve his wages. I took this decision because I don't have any child that will inherit this money, my relatives are not good, they are selfish, they frustrated my marriage life, because of my condition they turned their back on me thinking nothing good will come out from me since I am SICK AND CHILDLESS moreover I and my late husband vowed to use our last wealth to help the less privileged since we have no child.

Please, pray for me to recover as your prayers will go a long way in uplifting my spirit.  I do not need any telephone communication in this regard because of my health conditions and the presence of my late husband's relative around me always. I do not want them to know about this development.   My dear, please respond for more details so we can commence on this project.  Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and HE will reward them for what they have done. Proverbs 19:17.

Until I hear from you by email; my dreams will rest squarely on your shoulders.

Remain blessed,
Mrs. Edina
