"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

My mother is from South Africa and she died when i was still a baby. My father died and left Twenty Seven Million Five Hundred Thousand United States of American Dollars (US$27,500,000.00) in one of the prime bank here in Cote d'Ivoire. I am the only child of my late parents. Already, I had informed the director of the bank where my late father deposited this money about my plans to transfer this money abroad for an investments purposes. The director was happy about my plans to transfer the money outside this country where it will be invested into a good business investments. The director also said that as soon as i have someone who will be honest to receive and invest the money on my behalf, He shall commence all proceedings to transfer the money immediately to the person's bank account.
