"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: FROM MR. LARSON RAYMONY

Hello dear,

My name is Mr. Larson Raymond, from the United States of America. I work with the United Nation Office (UN) and was just posted to Ghana on special assignment. During this assignment, I have investigated a suspended file in Ghana, belonging to a foreigner from Japan, who have secured 375 kilograms of Gold and $5,000,000.00 (Five million United States Dollars) since the year 2014. My private investigation has shown that the owner of this deposit died almost a year after this deposit was made, and since then, no one has come for this deposit. I have prayed and made up my mind to contact you quickly through this medium, to stand as the next of kin to the depositor, so that I can direct you on how we are going to clear this deposit smoothly from Ghana, and share them accordingly.

Please this information should be between both of us, as I have map out a good plan on how we are going to receive this deposit in your Country.

May God Bless you.
Mr. Larson Raymond
