"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: God Bless You

Dear helper,
I am Miss. Flora Jones 20 years old from republic of Cote d’Ivoire here
in West Africa.
I know that you do not know me and will be surprise how I came to
contact you. please do not be surprise as I
have been in prayers and fasting for days now asking the Lord to review
to me a reliable person who shall not betray me.
Permit me to inform you of my desire of going into this sincere
relationship with you.
I am, the only child of my late parents.
My father was a very wealthy cocoa and timber merchant based here in
Abidjan, the economic capital of republic of
Cote d’Ivoire before he was poisoned to death by his wicked and devilish
brothers.
My mother died when I was just 2 years old. After the death of my
mother, my father took me so special because
I am motherless.
Before the death of my father in a private hospital here, he secretly
called me bedside his sick bed and told
me that he has a sum of us$ 5, 000,000.00 (Five Million United States
Dollars) which he deposited with one of the prime banks here in Abidjan
Cote d’Ivoire.
He told that he used my name as his only daughter from his late beloved
wife for the next of kin in deposit of the fund. He also explained to me
that it was because of his wealth that he was poisoned by his brothers.
He told me that I should seek for a foreign partner in a country of my
choice where I will transfer this money and use it for investment
purpose, (such as real estate management).
Since the death of my father,
his family members collaborated with my late father’s second wife who is
referred as my step mother and seized all my late father’s wealth which
he left behind for my future survival and trying to kill me which I ran
away into hiding for my dear life since I have nobody to fight for me.
I am humbly seeking your assistance in the following ways. 1) To help me
get the fund from the bank and provide a bank account where this money
would be transferred. 2) To serve as my guardian of this fund since I
cannot handle it myself 3) to make arrangement for me to come over to
your country after the money has been transferred so that I will live
the rest of my life there and continue my education while you handle the
fund and the investment.
Moreover, I am willing to offer you any percentage of the total sum as
compensation for your effort in helping me secure the fund.
I have the deposit certificate of the fund  which bears my name as the
next of kin beneficiary. I shall send to you this deposit certificate
with the bank contact information for you to contact and make
arrangement on my behalf for the transferring of the money to you there
in your country.
I have been afraid of finding someone abroad who shall be sincere to me
since this money is the only hope for my future survival.
I will like you will tell me
how much percentage you would like to take from the us$5 million while
you will use the remaining to invest for me and manage the investment on
my behalf.
Thanks and God bless you.
Miss. Flora Jones.
