"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Some comments by the Scam-O-Matic about the following email:

An email address listed inside this email has been used in a known fraud before.
This email uses a separate reply address that is different from the sender address. Spammers use this to get replies even when the original spam sending accounts have been shut down. Also, sometimes the sender addresses are legitimate looking but fake and only the reply address is actually an email account controlled by the scammers.
The following phrases in this message should put you on alert:
- "million united states dollars" (they want you to be blinded by the prospect of quick money, but the only money that ever changes hands in 419 scams is from you to the criminals)
This email message is a "dying widow" scam.
This email lists free webmail addresses. Use of such addresses is typical for scams. Lotteries, banks and any but the smallest of companies do not normally use such addresses. Criminals use them to anonymously send and receive email at Internet cafes.

I need you as a next of kin to my properties for the charity work of God, I am writing from the hospital,this mail is very urgent as I'm dying down here I don't know what tomorrow will be, because am at the point of death according to the Doctor.I was poisoned and has got my liver damaged it will take the grace of GOD for me to live for some weeks due to liver damaged problem.

We are from Muslim family, But since the death of my husband I decided not to Re-marry or get a child outside my matrimonial home which the Bible is all against, And now i was converted to Christian here in hospital when I heard more preaching and word of God, I surrender my life to God. And start reading the Bible knowing the truth i read one verse which inspired me most and that is Galatians 6v7. because during our Muslim days I inherited a lots of money from my late father but could not help people or assist in things of God because of the religion I was into but now that I am a born again Christian I pray and hear the word of God and seeking for a trusted Christian that I can trusted the fund US$10.5 MILLION UNITED STATES DOLLARS for humanitarian work of God to accomplish my wish, I took this decision because I don't have any child that will inherit this money and my husband relatives are not Christians and I don't want this fund
to be misused by unbelievers. As I do not want a situation whereby this money will be used in an ungodly manner. Hence the reason for taking this bold decision.I cannot think of anybody trying to kill me apart from my husband's Muslim relatives in order to inherit this money, I know that am going to be in the bosom of the Lord. Exodus 14vs14 says that the Lord will fight my case and I shall hold my peace. After my prayer over it God directed me to search and I found you and decided to contact you for assistant.
