"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

CONFIDENTIAL COMMUNICATION:

Good day,
My name is Prof. David Hamilton, I am a retired professor of law ,and I live in United Kingdom as a citizen of same country, I am contacting you regarding a member of your family by name SUSUMU who coincidentally share the same family name with you.

Many years ago I used to be his lawyer who consulted for him on legal matters in his businesses in and outside United Kingdom, he died in the 2011 Japan tsunami while he visited Japan with his family, he died there with all his family members, wife and daughter, he had dual citizenship, and he held United States of America citizenship and also held Japan citizenship.

His family moved to Brazil after the world war 11 and later on went to settle finally in the United States of America, this is the reason he held dual citizenship.

The reason why I am contacting you is because of his deposits with a bank here in the UK, the bank has asked me to look for any member of his extended family ,so that the ($50,000,000.00) fifty million united states dollars he deposited with the bank here can be repatriated to his family, this is in accordance with the United Kingdom financial laws and obligations, however I have been informed by the bank that if I fail to present any of his family member to claim the funds, that the bank will then take the whole funds as their profit.

I do not want the fortunes of my late client to be lost to the bank whereas there are many people in Japan suffering from the after effect of the 2011 Tsunami and the recent earthquakes in Kumamoto area who could use such large sum of money to a better use instead of losing it all to the bank, I in my personal opinion thought of using half of the funds to support the 2011 Tsunami victims and the recent earthquake victims to honour the memory of my late client.

Please I would like to know if you are related to him in any way because you and him share the same family name ,and this is why I decided to contact you, please reply to my email immediately you receive my mail.

I am expecting your reply.

Sincerely Yours,

Prof. David Hamilton (Retired)
