"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Sir

I am contacting you in confidence, and as a means of developing a cordial and fruitful business relationship. My name is Richard Goma I am the financial agent of Mr. George Matata, a former Congolese governor. He is also a top businessman in the field of agriculture and natural gas.

Fortunately, he is blessed with wealth and due to political reasons it currently almost impossible for him to invest in Congo and as such have asked me to search for someone whom he can invest the amount of Fifty Five Million US Dollars only ($55,000,000.00) under his care with a good turn out after a period of five (5) years.

His key interest lies in the in real estate establishment, hotel and tourism center; paper mill, however, it depends on your candid advice and suggestion since you are in better position to say what is best profitable and stable in your country.

As a matter of fact, your address got to me courtesy of a business journal at the world trade center in Johannesburg South Africa and after due consideration I decided to contact you with the hope that you will be able to render assistance towards this investment plan.

Finally, I shall give detailed information as to how this can be achieved but first a meeting in Johannesburg is essential and this will enable us to familiarize with each other and consolidate the way forward.

You can contact me via the following contact details below, email: Richardgoma@consultant.com or telephone +27-62-1765988 for full details.

Regards,

Barr Richard Goma
