"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Compensation

Greeting,
My name is Miss Naomi Brooklyn, the daughter to late Mrs. Lizzy
Brooklyn from Zimbabwe. May her soul rest in perfect peace Amen, My
mother Mrs. Lizzy Brooklyn contact you last year in respect to the
funds transfer of my late father. Before my mother passed a way, she
issued a bank draft to you for all the effort to help her; she
believed that you backed out thinking that the funds transfer is
illegal fund.
Well, through the assistance of a Japanese business man who name is
Mr. Haruki Kintarou who is leaving in Papua New Guinea the funds was
transfer out successful through him. I am now with a new family in
Papua New Guinea and am very happy again, because the new family I am
staying with takes me as their only daughter but being an orphan is so
challenging but am happy. In a way to appreciate your help my mother
dropped a bank draft of ($3,500,000.00) before her death and
instructed Mr. Roger Shaolin to make sure you receive the total amount
without any problem.
This is her little way of saying thank you for your initial help.
