"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Respectful one,

I am writing this letter in confidence believing that if it is the wish of God for you to help me, Godalmighty will bless and reward you abundantly and you would neverregret. I am 21yrs old. A student from Republic of Cote d’IvoireAbidjan . I am the only child of late Mr.& Mrs.Mirta Vera Robert. Well,my father died earlier some months ago and left me the only daughterbehind.

I am the only person who can take care of his wealth and my mother is not literate enough to know my entire father's wealth. He left the sum of USD 6,400,000.00 (Six Million, Four Hundred ThousandDollars) in a financial Bank here.

I don'tknow how and what I will do to invest this money somewhere in abroad,so that my father's kindred will not take over what belongs to me,which they were planning to do without my present because I am a femaleas stated by our culture in the town. Now, I urgently need your humbleassistance to move this money from the Bank to your country Can you honestly do this for me?

Yours sincerely,
Mirta Robert
