"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

I apologize if the content here is contrary to your ethics, but I have to reach you through this medium.i have something very confidential to discuss with you and l will appreciate if you can give me your moral support and to keep things as a top secret. Am ready to compensate you in returns, though i have not considered this medium to be the best manner to have approached you on important issue like this being that the Internet has been greatly abused over the recent years and is much unsecured for information of vital importa

I have decided to take the chance seeing that no other means could have been faster and more efficient than the E-mail. I write to you irrespective of the fact you do not know me, but please do consider this letter as a request from a sister in dire need of your moral support. I came across your personal contact via international personal research profile in my earnest search for a trustworthy and honest person to handle my business. Sorry if I disturb you with my problem. As i mentioned earlier,my name is Mrs. Mayyada Makhlouf,am from Aleppo in Mount Simeon District, Syria Arab Republic. Presently, I and my kids are in United Nations Refugee camp in a small town between Syria and Turkey. My Late husband Mustafa Makhlouf (Al-Baqa’ Lillah”) was killed in Aleppo in his commercial business area. Since his death, things have never being well with my family. Due to the persistent bombardment of Aleppo both from the insurgents and coalition forces, we were made to depart our homes.

I was an English teacher in Damascus Shell School before the war in Syria started, anything i tell you here is the truth let Allah be my witness. We wake up every morning here glad we are alive, and go to sleep every night knowing we might not wake up in the following morning. Most of our relatives have been imprisoned, gone missing, been murdered or killed in explosions. It got to an extent that I have to flee with my two daughters to a United Nations refugee camp where we are presently staying.

The pains my innocent children go through everyday breaks my heart and tears me apart. We have lost all we had in Syria nothing to hope for here again. I only have some of our documents i managed to recover when we were fleeing Syria because of constant bombardment. We are not even safe here anyway because they also bomb refugee camps. All i want now is to save my children. When my husband was alive he wants the best for them and promised them the best. Now it is so bad and they cry every day and that is tearing me apart.

My late husband was a rich crude oil business man before his death. He deposited a total sum of $2.5 Million with one of the prime banks in United States of America for his business with the hope of transferring it back home after the war to start life afresh, but he did not make it. Since i have been unsuccessful in locating any of our direct relatives for sometime now, i seek your consent to present you as our family representative and investment manager so that the funds will be transferred to your account for our upkeep pending when i and my kids will join you in your country. I have all the necessary legal documents that can be used to back up any claim we may make.

All i require from you is your honest cooperation to enable us seeing this through. With the help of my late husband’s account officer,i guarantee you that this will be executed under a legitimate arrangement that will protect you from any breach of the law. The account officer advised me to act fast because the bank, might declare the funds as an abandoned funds because the account has been dormant for some time now.

My contacting you is divine and my faith is in Allah. More details will be communicated to you once you indicate your intention to assist. I will not contact anybody until I read from you. Here in the refugee camp, the Turkish soldiers does not allow us access to phone calls they said it is because of security risk.

My situation requires an urgent attention this is the reason why l choose to reach out for a matured and reasonable person. Can you get back to me as per you to tell me more about yourself, your names, age and your marital status together with what you do for a living as in job okay.. l will appreciate if l can hear from you with a kin gesture of understanding.
BarakAllahu feekum.

Mrs. Mayyada Makhlouf
