"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Hello Good Friend

Hello Good Friend,

I work in an oil company as a Director of contract awarding
department. There's an accrued "INTEREST" the total sum of (US$9,800,000.00) floating in a suspense
account which was generated from a contract we awarded to one of our foreign contractor some
years ago. And i have been mandated by the management as the head of my
department to pay these money to the contractor but i just discovered that
the contractor died last two year 2015.

I want to front you as the next of kin to the late contractor so that you
can receive these accrued interest money for both of us to share it at an
agreed mutual ratio of 50% - 50% to both parties. And i am willing to
invest my own share into any profitable business in your country as you
may advise me.

Note that this project is 100% free from scam and risk as i will use my
position to put all the paper work in proper shape.Upon your response i
shall furnish you with more details.

Thanks and God bless, please get back to me Asap.

Engr. Walter Great.
